Lack of TRIM in Raid 0 SSD's a problem?

Looking to buy 1 or possibly 2 OCZ Vertex 2E's and setup in Raid 0 for the extra speed.

I know Win7 cant use TRIM on Raid'd SSD's, but in teh "real world" is this really a problem?
Does performance degrade badly without TRIM and would I lose the performance advantage of Raid0 due to slowdown over time?

Waiting to pull the trigger on either 1 or 2 SSD's....any help appreciated, thanks.

Lack of TRIM is not quite a big issue as what seems to be widely percieved otherwise Linux and MAC user won't be able to use SSD. I used 2x Vertex 2 60GB in raid O and I have yet to see slowdown. The active GC or garbage collection of the sandforce drive takes care of itself in lieu of windows TRIM. If you head to OCZ forum, you will see a lot of chaps using raid arrays with their Vertex 2's. This is the same reasoning why IBIS and OCZRevo drive were made in the first place.

Speed wise (real world not benching), would you say Raid0 SSD is worth a punt?

Would I notice the 76% or so speed increase in general usage?
I use 3d Modelling/animation software as well as Adobe CS5, including video editing and After Effects.

At the moment my hard disk is crunching away, so SSD is absolutley the way to go for me.

Just wonder if the raid speed advantage can be NOTICED day to day.

..could always buy one and pick up a second if I want to try Raid?
(I'm just wondering if one SSD is enough to eliminate the I/O bottleneck, and if so..why Raid0?
a few fractions of a second here and there dont bother me..but if its noticeable..then it has to be a go-er.
