Just make sure to attach the clip of your harness to the top rung of the ladder just in case the ladder falls down.....

I seen people actually do this so many times.....

Surely that's just in case you fall off the ladder not in case the ladder falls, probably still not very clever mind!

Unless the ladder bolted to something or roped to something having your harness clipped to one of the ladder rungs is normally not going do anything apart from bring the ladder down on top of you as well..

Plus I doubt an aluminium ladder rung could also take the falling weight of an adult without the rung ripping out or snapping...

I would recommend tying a noose around your neck as a safety harness as well.
