Lag spikes

think that is what they are called?

anyway every FPS game i play online now has a lag spike every 30 seconds or so where i get some kind of connection error message for about a second then it goes back to normal! extremely annoying! it will move me from one place to another we out me even pressing anything.

this is happening on BF2 and COD4 and only EVER happened since i upgraded to vista ultimate

ive forwarded the ports on both my router and windows firewall, i dont have any anti virus crap on my computer, so really cant see where the problem is :(

my average ping on cod is 35-50 as i only go for low ping servers and same with BF2 but my ping is even lower in that

my system is plenty capable aswell so nothing to do with the hardware

so any clues anyone? or is it just vista?

i have a wireless sky router and a wireless belkin hub, i didn't think i would need to mention this as they worked perfectly fine on xp :/

the connection is 100% excellent.

[edit] also spot on with everything else i play and like torrents and such, just seems to be the 2 games what have punkbusters which ive updated using there client

:DI had this problem when using wireless, turned out it was the router (D-link), was sooooo annoying, was messing around with it for ages in the end changed to linksys and have no problems since
