i've heard from a few companies that " splash proof " laminate is all a con and that all laminate flooring is pretty much the same..

B&Q do AquaLoc which is meant to be splash proof but is twice the price of normal flooring and has a very limited range

the wife likes one that isnt certified as splash proof and as it's going into a downstairs toilet is it a bad idea ?

anyone else got a laminate floor in a toilet how long has it been there, was it " splash proof " any signs of lifting ?

Any advice appreciated :D

As long as you wipe it up when you pee on the floor it isnt going to be a problem.

all laminate is splash proof, otherwise everytime someone spilt a drink or walked in with wet shoes it would be ruined!

I've had normal laminate in my bathroom for about 2 years now, and it's still perfectly flat because if it gets wet it's wiped up shortly after.
I wouldn't worry about it :) Just don't leave puddles of **** standing there for days and you should be fine.

Ive worked with lamine for 5 years now and with bathrooms its one of them things that normally i dont get any one come back but there is allways the odd person. You can never tel its normaly just luck of the draw. The better suff for bathrooms is ones with a green core or platic core witch im sure aqua lock is. Aqua loak is a lot more because if it goes wrong then you have paid the extra so if it goes wrong then they have to replace it.

Downstairs toilets are ok it bathrooms that arnt really beause steam gets under the bords and soaks in its moisture in small rooms laminate reacts to more than surface water. Sorry for the kida long post
