OK, that's sensationalist, but for him to be approaching the last year of his contract and a club as massive as Chelsea are dragging their heels... it is pretty dumbfounding :/

SSN have just reported that Lampard is complaining at how long talks are dragging on, and that he doesn't want to get to the summer and only have a year of his contract left.

I think this is still media speculation. I know they have said Chelsea are going to bid for Diego in the summer and that a contract has not been sorted yet, but still he is one of their best players. Fat Frank will remain a Chelsea player next season, Chelsea just need to offer him some stupidly expensive contract!
Or should they trim 'the fat'?

I was quite surprised to read that he's only 29. Seems to have been around ages.

He's got 3 or 4 years at the top before Chelsea will offload him for megabucks to Real or Juve.

At the start of the season he said he didn't want to discuss his contract so he can concentrate on playing which is fair enough, but it now seems that he's getting a bit nervy about it as the club took that to mean he doesn't want to discuss it until the end of the season whereas he was expecting a new offer regardless.
The only way he'll leave is if a foreign club come in with a stupid offer that can't be turned down, he wants to stay (he's always said that) and the club want him to stay (they've always said that) but football is business too and he's only got 2-3yrs max left of high class and ever present stuff before his stock wanes

tbh i think he'll go to either Juve or Barca because chelsea have been dragging there heels for about a year now

Why would they pay "megabucks" for him when he's 32/33?

I'd class megabucks as 20m+. I don't think even Real are stupid enough to spend 20m on a 33 year old.

When have you ever seen him turn up against DECENT opposition , viera had him in his pocket every derby game when he played for arsenal just one player that springs to mind.

"WORLD CLASS" players raise there game against opposition , can't help but feel he goes missing far to often. However i'm prepared to be proved wrong

If Ferguson is the manager at Chelsea, Lampard would've gone last summer and got mega bucks for him. His best seasons are behind him, and that was about 2/3 years ago.
