:D

The pizza's only free if you are on the winning team for the ET:QW tourney ;)

Otherwise, we have a deal with Dominos that gets us *massive* discounts (due to the fact that every Lan we purchase ~100 pizzas plus sides/drinks) :)

Sounds fun, I'll sign up on your forums later to see if there's any chance of getting a lift, will ask some mates if they fancy it too.

thats a bit er.. illegal.

really? I thought it was part of the game, like Savage 2.. f2p Lan, pay online?

I'm not the admin for the ET:QW tourney, I've never played it, and as you can see I don't know much about the game ;)

you thought it was part of the game to let your buddys all use your disc to install onto their pcs, or download and install it, then use a generated cdkey and play on lan.. urmmm..
You think all games are free2play unless you play online?!?!? =/// misguided.. im fairly CERTAIN that you will find most commercial games are not free2play anytime =/
Chances are if people have good experiences are of games on LAN they will go and buy the game to play online with their friends from LAN though :) all depends on the quality of game though, so works out fair-ish :)

Savage 2 is free to play on LAN - at least, that's how it was announced.

Not exactly misguided in this case. (That said, I made the mistake of pre-buying Savage 2. Savage 1 is far better)

I'm not so sure about ETQW - afaik, we were just planning on using the demo version if people didn't own the game.

Looks interesting, shame my friends are all laptop-toting newbies. Don't really fancy going up on my own like a larry, lol. Plus, I'd need to find a lift.

It's been mentioned, and responded to, at the start of the thread. Just read some of the replies :)

A lot of the games we play will play fine on laptops with integrated 3d. UT2004 mods, Q3 mods, Soldat, Savage (1) are all examples, not to mention the projector setup with console gaming :) Might be worth a try to tempt them...

Awesomeness - I'll speak to them and try to source out a smaller monitor.

I've got a spare 17 CRT you could borrow..
Not the best monitor, but hey :)

As long as I can see what I'm doing, ther'es no problems, lol! I've spoken to one of my housemates and he's pretty interested. Going to speak to a couple of others (they've gone home for some late-valentine's action) and if it's all good, I'll sign up within a few days or so.
