Gonna have a LAN party at the end of August in my house for 5-8 people.

I've hosted one in my home before which went quite smoothly but it was for 4 computers so I didn't need a switch just connected everyone to the router.

There's a new Belkin F5D5131uk8 switch on the market, would this be good for this kind of thing? Seems good o me cause its got 8 ports and is only £10

Thanks a lot for the advice guys

If you only need 10/100 (rather than Gigabit) it should be fine. I don't think it's new to market, it actually appears to be going EOL, but that doesn't really matter.

You can pick-up the TP-Link equivalent (TL-SF1008D) for even less.
