Not sure if this has been mentioned but the premier League specifically asked Sky Italia to stop carrying English language commentary earlier this year as well.

That's pretty cheeky. What if a subscription from Italian soil wanted (and previously had the option of) English commentary.

I've had another look for this but have found nothing for some reason. Can anybody do better?

The verdict in the eu courts isn't due until march.

Go to agree about this, what a cheek, Sky stopping the english commentary.

Forgot they hold a monopoly on the english language

it wasn't Sky as in Sky UK, it was the Premier League that requested it.
