Lapping Problems - HELP

beh

A quick question, when you were lapping the cpu did you put the protective plastic back on it ? and how much pressure did you apply, and is there any other tips you can supply ?

NP, watch this space for my OC progress this weekend. Will be interesting to see how far i can push this G0 :)

Beh just to let you know that I have finished my lapping and have knocked off 6 degrees from idle (39 ave) and load temps(68 ave) at current OC, really pleased, not a mirror finish like some but it is smooth and flat. I hope the temps drop even more when the AS5 has settled in, just did 2hrs prime and temps were solid.

How are you getting on with yours :confused:

I may now squeeze a few more ghz out of my quad now temps are better ;)
 
Hey nice one mate. TBH, i've been pretty busy and havn't much of an opportunity to work on my PC. ATM, i' stuck at 3.5 @ 1.45 @ 70 so somethings wrong. 3.6Ghz is my goal so i'll keep this thread updated :) Also got a 1tb F1, what an amazing drive.

beh, just managed to get 3.6 with idle of 45 and load of 75 after 2 1/2 of p95 @1.4v in bios, I think that is the limit for me :D

Glad your happy with the F1, couldnt recommend samsung drives enough ;)
 
Nice one. For my purposes 70 was the limit but as i said before i havnt had the time or patience to have a decent go.
