Hi guys,

I need to upgrade my laptop, it's getting on a bit now. I will get 100 quid from a friend for the old one and put in another £400 giving me a budget of £500, but can go up to £600 for a good deal.

The most demanding game I play right now is Euro Truck Simulator 2, so am thinking integrated graphics should be ok, which should make it a bit easier.

My old laptop is Lenovo i3-5005u, 1TB HD, 15.6", 8Gb ram. It used to be used alongside my desktop which was [email protected]/16GB/dual SSD, 980 x 2 etc.

So my only demands are:
Must be noticeably faster than my old laptop
Must have 14-17 inch screen
Must have at least 3 hours battery life
Must be Windows 10
8Gb ram or above
Not AMD

Bonuses would be:
Discrete graphics in case I want to play games in future, though a basic one should suffice
SSD

I'm perfectly happy to get a refurb unit, so if anybody has seen any half decent deals around I would be massively appreciative to hear about them. Any brand is fine.

Would be interested to hear any opinions on this:

This is over my budget but is available for £18 a month:

Thanks.
