After the usual google hunt for answers with no success thus far, could anyone here offer some advice?
My gf laptop (Toshiba A210-171 ) would not shutdown, so I forced it off by holding the power key down. Now when attempting to restart it prompts to restore, but hangs when pressing Enter. I tried to boot from CD, but when pressing 'Any key' it freezes. In my moment of madness I took the hard drive out and formatted it and checked it for errors (no errors).
Now after returning the harddrive I am presented with Bootmgr is missing and still can't boot from CD as it hangs (viscious circle).
Any ideas?
