My wireless router has just failed so i have connected a spare wired router as a temporary measure.

All wired devices are connecting to the internet apart from my daughters laptop.
it did connect wirelessly without issue but fails to connect with an ethernet cable. My laptop connects on that ethernet cable being used so it aint that.
The strange thing is that the icon in the taskbar is saying internet access but it wont load any webpages nomatter what browser i use.

when i log on to the router it is on the list of connected devices and Norton is seeing it on the network security map.

Any ideas?? like i say all other devices just connected without issue and i have made sure that the wireless has been dissabled on the laptop in question.

Can you ping IP addresses at all from that laptop? [look up the IP address for Google.com and ping that]

Check the DNS settings are correct - they should be pointing to either your router or another valid DNS server.
