Are they any good? Or are you just better off keeping the laptop on a hard flat surface?

Can help if your laptop has a design that matches where the fans are on it and whatnot
More height for more airflow can deffo help.
But I think laptops are usually ok unless they are gaming ones or you put them on a soft surface that covers fans
I used to have cooler master one ages back when my laptop had a hot athlon

I mean what lap top is it? Does it over heat ?

It's a legion 5 slim 4070. I've had no trouble with it but sometimes have it on my lap which can get quite warm.I mean what lap top is it? Does it over heat ?
So just wondering whether to get a cooler pad or just a laptop tray.
