Recently aquired am Upgradeware HD25-IS , which allows me to mount a 2.5" IDE drive on a PCI card, also converts it to SATA, anyway bought a 100GB Seagate 7200.1, and connected it all up, I can format the drive with the windows disk and the windows setup begins to copy the files from disc to the hard drive, then it reboots as it should, but it won't start the windows setup, just see the "Windows logo" for like 15 minutes then I get a BSOD,, Indicating a hard drive error, but the hard drive is new and it runs fine under windows as a data drive, but just cannot install windws on it, the jumper is set to master, so anyone have a clue?, Is the hard drive at fault or the Upgradeware card?..

Sounds like a driver issue rather than a hardware one. Does this card thing have any drivers with it?

No driver, shouldn't need one as them standalone IDE to SATA convertors don't use one, only power is taken from the PCI SLOT...
