Laptop for a Logistics mate

[LupoLover]

Anyone here use Paragon Logistic software or Class warehouse Sim? I cant find out any specs for it. Anyway mate needs a laptop to run this for his new position and company told him to tell them what laptop he wants!

He likes 15.6" as will be portable enough to take to clients etc...
I presume 16GB RAM and a decent processor for data crunching stuff?
Budget 800-£1k

Any advice?

Not quite the same usage profile, but for a few multi-site .net developers (so running Visual Studio 2013 and SQL Server 2012) we've just bought them Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series laptops.

£999 for a Core i7 5500U, 15.6" 4K (3840x2160) IPS touch-screen display, 16GB RAM, Radeon R7 M270 4GB, and a 256GB SSD. They are built well, look quite nice, but still have a decent air of "business" look about them.

We paid a bit less than this as we have a decent (read: based in the UK) account manager

Oh that sounds far better then I thought you could get for the money!
Thanks. Anyone with any experience on what he might need spec wise would be great.
