Have a problem with a laptop. Was working fine, rebooted and now it looks like this.
If you can understand my basic illustration! The desktop is complete but squashed and repeated down the laptop screen. I am unable to get an output at the moment on an external monitor.
The graphics is an Nvidia 8400M GS

Tried the drivers, as Device Manager was throwing a warning on the adaptor but same issue.
It happens actually from the initial boot screen too having checked so yep, looks like the card.

Fortunately not my laptop, but I'll have to give my dad the bad news. The problem with being the family tech support!

Have you tried logging into the laptop via safe mode ? Also make sure the refresh rates are correct and have not changed for any strange reasons.
