Laptop Hard drives

Hi Guys

My laptops died of death and wont be getting a new laptop straight away so want to transfer some files from the laptop HD.

Any way of doing this on the computer, Its a ATA HD but looking at the pins they seem smaller, and in the laptop it was all in 1 section and seemed to have no power connector?

Any help would be appreciated
