laptop hardrive

of late , put in a extra 512 ram in laptop and funny thing been happening after a hr of gaming the laptop shut off all of sudden without warning,the hardrive is over 56 celuis,would this cause it,any ideas

did a check on drive,theres 18 per cent bad clusters and tryed to format and do new install of windows and would only format uptp 19 per cent and wouldn't go any more

I would say you proberly need a new H/drive. seems like its getting to the end of its days. how old is the drive?

i replaced my laptop H/drive with the Western Digital Scorpio drive 40g and it has been better than ever. and not so exspensive either as OCUK have a great price on this drive.

20 months old.was looking at 80 gig digital or 60
