Laptop HDD advice

Just fixing a friends laptop and it seems the laptop hdd is dead/dying. Need to get it replaced with a new 2.5" Sata hdd.

Is there anything specific I need to look out for when buying a new one, obviously I need to make sure its 2.5" and sata but is there anything else to check out?

Current hdd spec can be found here.

Laptop in question is a Compaq nx7400.

Also isit worth paying the small extra for the slight increase of speed and size?

don't see why not, but if you're worried ask ocuk. only you can decide if it's worth paying more for more speed/capacity!
