Hello! I'm a bit confused by the whole roaming internet access scene.
Been looking at the web 'n' walk package from T-Mobile; is this about the best there is atm? We have some old Vodaphone datacard in work and it's like £1/1MB or something daft so just wanted to see what was about that wasn't PAYG.
Any caveats I should be aware of? I read one review that said Instant Messaging and/or VoIP was not allowed on WnW which is a bit *bleh* but the review was '06 so hopefully things have changed now?
Also, speed of 1.8Mbps seemed to be quoted on the T website but I'm guessing you have to live in a special part of the UK for this? Every time I've used the Voda service I've always connected at GPRS style speeds.
Does T-Mobile work abroad? I'm sure the advertising literature will say it does but I remember checking the coverage in Pembrokeshire and it was non-existant.
