like the title says but i am a beginner as i don't have a lot to do with laptops and frankly don't see the point in them (advertising i have some thing worth stealing isn't very appealing to me)
a friend has asked me to upgrade hi laptop ram for him and i have agreed as im such a good friend but i have been told that laptops can be funny beings when it comes to memory/compatibility, more so than pc's.
he has a advent 7081 he uses for browsing and it comes installed with a stick of 256mb ddr333 really we are looking to be upgrading to a gig stick is there anything i should know or you can help me with when purchasing this stuff?
