hey there,

am looking for a either a netbook or laptop for uni..

whats bang for buck at the moment?

are these netbooks any good? value for money or would you suggest paying the extra for a laptop..its just the extra weight I guess which puts me off a laptop..

anyways , all comments would be appreciated

thanks

I'm the opposite to wilko49, I find that when you've got a bag full of books, the last thing you need is the weight of a laptop :p

Some netbooks are too small in my opinion, but 10 inches + should be fine. Personally, I'm waiting for the Samsung N230, which should be out pretty soon.

However, you are pretty limited to things you can do on a netbook - i.e interwebs, word processing, watching videos, and basic games.

Depends entirely on your uses and preferences.

Exactly. If you just want portable internet and word processing for school or whatever, go for a netbook and make sure you get something with SSD instead of HDD, it's faster.

However if you wish to do even the slightest gaming or something more taxing than browsing the net, go for a laptop.
