Can you buy a USB/PS2 pad to plug into a desktop and use as a mouse? When I've been doing a lot of PC work, the way I hold the mouse knackers one of my fingers and it twitches like hell and feels really strained and I could do with giving it a break with some single finger movement.

Cheers

Have you tried getting a nice mouse like the logitech models that are pretty much sculpted to your hand? I don't remember ever seeing a USB touchpad though.

You can buy what is effectivly a laptop keyboard with touchpad for your PC from various retailors. Due to this forum being part of a shop I won't link/specify where it is possible to get them, but if you search around they are easy enough to find.

'Keysonic KB-730W Ivory Server/Compact Keyboard with Mouse Pad' being the sort of item you can buy.

:)

I would spend the money on a more ergonomic mouse that fits your hand better though, as you will still get some RSI from that pad.

Cheers for the help guys, I think I need to take both your suggestions, perhaps have a wander to some high street stores and see what fits my massive mitts better than the ms one I have at the minute, which seems too small and I often find I'm pushing around with the troublesome finger rather than my whole hand.

I think you'l find the logitech range of MX mice a good fit. They are a good bit bigger than the MS mice. Try some out in the highstreet if you see them.
