Laptop Power Supplies

Hello folks does anyone know if there are in major differences with the power supplies of laptops brought in the states as opposed to the UK or is it just a matter of getting the correct power supply from the manufacturer ?

Have a look on the bottom of the power supply brick. Some power supplies will tolerate from 115-240v, in which case you only need to get the right power lead for the wall socket.
