Laptop question

Hi guys,

I have a nice Core 2 duo rig that I have built myself and I am really happy with it, I have decided that I would like a laptop but I am unsure on what sort of specs to go for.

It will mainly be used for simple tasks like internet and office, I want Vista home premium, so I guess it needs to have a bit of power. Any suggestions on what Ishould look out for?

I know you guys can not spec me a laptop, I just want some advice on what to for and what to avoid, for example: how big is the difference between a core 2 duo and a turion x2 on a laptop?

if you can you should ideally get something Core 2 Duo mobile processor, the dual core Turion is alrite for what you want to do but if they are about the same price the C2D would be the one to go for.

Well it seems that the difference in cost is the AMD Turion 64 x2 TL50 is about £80 cheaper than a Core 2 Duo T5300. Is the performance really that much?

afaik the C2D chip is probably more energy efficient and has better performance
