Hi guys.
Am needing some help. A friend of mine, just re-installed Xp on his home laptop. After the inital install, the backlight went off, and is unable to turn it back on. He gave me the laptop to try andf work out for him but it appears im stuck.
I have it attached externally to my PC monitor, and everything seems to be in order. The graphics/chipset drivers are installed. I have tried to look for the pressure switch that turns the backlight on and off and i cannot find it.
Seems like it could be the inverter, but just find it strange that the monitor worked untill XP was installed ???
It seems i am now stuck and any advice would be greatfully recieved....
