Hi

My partner is in the process of starting her own business and as such will be using her laptop as she travels around.

One thing that worries her, as anyone would, is how to best secure her laptop so in the event that it does get stolen that the machine is not usable in any way. Especially client's contacts, telephone numbers, address, orders and costings etc etc.

I am looking for advice as to what is the best way to do this, I was thinking of having her use a program out of a USB pen etc so that the laptop will not be able to fully boot without the USB pen being installed. Assuming of course she keeps the pen seperate from the laptop !!

Also I am looking for something that will fully encrypt the whole drive so if the HD was removed from the laptop then it would still be useless. The ability to make a spare or a back up key facility of the pen / flash device would be very helpful in case of emergencies.

Any idea's or suggestions would be very helpful as thier seems to be some that may work but I am not 100% sure to be honest.

Windows Vista Home Premium is the O/S on her laptop which I believe is the 32 bit version??
