They are nice.

I’m playing Read Dead 2 on the Xbox One X, in fact, that’s all I’m playing as my fastest gpu is an Nvidia 730 lol

Sounds good, and slightly faster then a 730 with a passlive heatsink

I've already tried the MSI GT75 8SF and it was marvellous. That's my primary choice. Second may be the new Alienware and I also like the Legion but they have long lead times.

Yeah, I was at the £1700 mark to get what I wanted. The best compromise would be a Clevo build at £1200-ish but they are loud under load (unacceptable at work) and the battery life isn't great, so I decided against it.

Will probably see if I can cadge an old laptop from work and use that for now. I'll look again when cooling and battery solutions are better.

I’m not a huge gamer but I wanted a compromise in size and weight. This is my 3rd Alienware laptop.
