I'm after a Laptop to replace my current desktop for photo + video editing, website design and occasional gaming. I would like it to be at least as quick as my desktop setup. Intel Q6700 with 4gb Ram and a ATI 4870. I currently run two monitors at 1280x1024 so think I'm looking at a 17 inch laptop. Unsure of budget as its been a while since I built my desktop system so am out of the game when it comes to component choices. Don't want to break the back and hope for something under a grand.

Thanks in advance

Hi, I'm thinking of getting this laptop as well, but this would be for mostly gaming such as diablo 3 , Anno 2070, CoH's and world building games, also, occasional photo and video editing, but would like to know if anyone out there has got any feedback on it, I would be putting 16gb of memory and upgrading the two HDD, it seems good for the price, once I have upgraded the total cost comes to just over £1500.
I have been looking at the Asus G75 series and the MSI series as well but after putting the specs into Game debate for starcraft they both come out with 10 for cpu ,8 or 9 for gpu and 7 for memory ( 8gb only ), but when I put the spec in for the P177sm ,full house of 10's, all I need is some feedback and the " push" to buy it and have 6 months of hell from the wife , but that will be out weighed by the bliss of 6 months of great gaming :D.
Cheers
Darren
