My wife is now WFH until further notice and is looking for a laptop that she can use to finish her CIPD Course online. The laptop I have does not have a webcam which she needs for the course. To that end she says I can spend up to a grand on a new laptop. My current laptop is now 12 years old and slow as hell and could do with retiring 
The laptop will be mainly used for MS Office, MS Teams for her course and general surfing so I think spending a grand will be massive overkill.
I've read the threads on here and seen some recommendations but no one seems to come back and tell you what the've finally bought.
Any help appreciated.
