Laptop

Hey,

Im looking to buy a decent laptop I can carry around with me to and from work/university etc etc.

Im heading to Texas in a couple of weeks so I'm on the pre-purchase research mission.

I've fallen in love with the Sony SZ laptops, budget is $2500 but could be increased slightly for the right laptop.

The question is can you convince me to go for another better value laptop?? I've only really looked at Vaios and Dell Inspirons/XPSs.

my last two laptops have been vaio's, can't recomend them highly enough. also used dells in my old job, decent but not a patch on sony

Oh yeh, I forgot to mention - any tips on importing the said laptop? Mailing the receipts + manuals to myself but after that - anything major I should know regarding customs etc?
