Thats a relief, scientists have never been wrong.

Except perhaps the miscalculation that caused an explosion there last year delaying the experiment for a year. :eek:
 
People who seriously think this is going to cause a problem are just making themselves look insanely stupid. You can just tell that for the week after it is turned on, every slight thing that goes wrong will be blamed on the LHC

That's enough of a prophecy for me. We are all doomed.
 
I am unsure why you are drawing attention to the explosion in Cern as support to your fears over the doomsday senario. The facility will have been built and designed by engineers under the specifications of physicists. The fact that the engineering was flawed is not really a reflection of poor physicists. That's like saying that a bank manager isn't fit to advise on a loan because the plumbers bodged the toilets up in his branch.
