Anyone else a pickled onion fan and wants them 2.5kg jars all the time but there never around and if they are there like a tenner (amazon) etc. When usually when i ever find them near xmas time (shame only then) at corner shops they are drivers ones and are about £3-4 which is reasonable.
Hate how u cant buy em for that price usually through the year.
Tried making me own, but damn they were too strong. Using sarsons ready to pickle vinegar plus they go all brown instead nice and light. Yeah i tried the white vinegar version which tasted nicer and didnt turn them dark but still tasted strong instead of a mild version u buy from most shops. Only strong ones i like are garsons but there insanely priced usually i prefer asda £1.25 big jar type vinegar and color of the onions.
But anyhow.
Anyone know a site where u can buy 2.5kg jars like the drivers ones for less than a fiver delivered with cheap postage or free so its around 4-6 quid range delivered for a jar? Tried searching google but there all wanting near £10 or reach 10 quid when postage comes up.
If i could buy locally i would but no shops cept certain ones which arnt a guarentee near xmas time have em.
