I just bought a
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB ST3250620AS SATA-II 16MB Cache
from ocuk and decided to use it as my c drive. So did a fresh format and install of windows xp.
However, after the text part of setup completed windows restarted and before it could load the gui part i got the message:
"Error Loading Operating System"
I found out i could get around this by changing the HDD in Bios from Auto to large (i believe this chanegs the CHS and other values)
This fixed it perfectly
However, i was just wondering if this will have any effect on performance or anything else?
