I'm currently looking for a 4TB 3.5" Firecuda but they dont seem to be in stock anywhere.

I want something to use on an Xbox One with a USB3 caddie and most bang per buck means SSHD is going to have to be the way forward, and benchmarks show that SSHDs perform very well on the Xbox one.

Anyone know a good alternative? Must be 7200rpm and have at least 8gb of SS part of the SSHD and 4tb space..

seagate used to list a 4tb model but your right its gone, it still shows up on some e-tailers but with no stock. strange i guess its delisted. explains why i cant find one.

As for do i need the space, quite a few xbox games are around 100gb now and they are only going to get bigger with the release of the xbox one x and additional 4k assets for textures etc.

While i would often uninstall and reinstall games when a game is 100gb that a long old download.

sUCHA LARGE SSHD might not be viable in the current market .. possibly the cache is too small to do justice to the 4tb "main storage". In the end for most people a combo of two drives is better eg 1x128gb SSD and 1x4tb HDD. Your use case must be niche enough that its not worth investing the money in developing large SSHD, plus there are many different teks that are set to make large SSD much cheaper. eg QLC 96 layer Vnand . There really is no future in HDD except for bulk storage ....
