** LARGEST RANGE OF GEFORCE GTX 1060 PASCAL NOW AVAILABLE WITH FREE SHIPPING!! **

It was received well, we see the same at every VGA launch, some buyers hold off from making a purchase and await for new stuff to come and reviews be posted. They then decide, 1060 sold very well and we also witness Fury and 1070 in particular really pick up in sales and RX 480 remained selling. 1080 as always just sells like crazy every day relentless. :)

you know, it would be nice to see some numbers over a month, although that's probably confidential :). Still, it would be amazing to see how many of these bad boys are selling, as I have a sneaky impression the rumoured 1% who buy high-end stuff are actually a lot more than 1% ...

Well until Nvidia moved the goalposts on pricing, the graphics industry difined "enthusiast " high end as over $350

The 1060 is well under that price at $249 and even the 1070 only just slips over it at $379

So anybody buying a 1060 or 480 is not an enthusiast and doesnt count towards the 1 to 2% of sales which are.

Its a shame Nvidia shifted 1070 out of mid range pricing as I really dont see a 1070 as a high end enthusiast card.

I was thinking more about the 1080's to be honest, maybe 1070's as well.

Well the Uk always has had a higher volume of high end buyers, kind of born out with people reporting 1080s including the famed Asus Strix OC in plenty supply in high street shops around europe but all in desperately short supply over here.

I dont think the 1080 will bust the world wide figures though. You have to remember 50m discreet gfx cards are sold by Nvidia and AMD every year. Even !m 1080s sold would only be 0.5%.

And i doubt whether ocuk have had 10,000 yet and they are the biggest etailer of 1080s in the uk.

the 1050/60 and AMD 470/480 are going to be the volume movers which will outsell high end like 1080s by 10 to 1 at least.

I suspect within a week or so, sales of 1060 and 480s will have overtaken 1080s if they havent already.

Somebody on reddit mentioned a month ago that he found a nice online retailer had real time sales tracker tracked all products how many were ordered since listed or launched. I visited site and add it all up in total below:

180 RX 480s sold in 24 hours after 29 June launch
225 GTX 1060s sold in just 8 hours after 19 July launch
2,220 RX 480s sold since 29 June launch
4,105 GTX 1080s sold since 27 May launch
6,190 GTX 1070s sold since 10 June launch

Look like RX 480 will not done well in 10 days as GTX 1070 easy outsold RX 480 about 2 times in volume but that just 1 retailer. Wished Overclockers UK have real time sale tracker on all products how many times people bought it.

Again 50m cards are sold each year. 4000 1080s is nothing.

Ok only one retailer but if they had sold 50k I might believe you.

i still think its a lot for what is a luxury item, maybe not in nvidia bankroll but it says highend gaming is boom right now

i wonder if it has anything to do with pc gamers having grown up now, i cant imagine its all kids paying $800 a gpu
if they are im jealous lol

Seriously, compared to OcUK, USA etailers just plain suck. Look at the stock OcUK has compared to ANY US etailer. I could barely even find a card out of stock, let alone for sale.

At least you guys can actually buy the cards, even if they do cost more due to recent factors.

Try finding a 480 for sale in the USA. There is basically no stock to sell. (Other than on a certain website with people trying to sell them for 500 dollars)

Wow you are right, I checked a site that USA, Canada, Germany and France trackers has no stock to sell. Only just UK tracker showed few retailers has stock to sell.

So that mean RX 480 are in shortage supply worldwide. Now it nearly end of July, so is AMD have problem with yield that they cant make enough RX 480 chips?

If you want to find out how well it sell worldwide, Steam hardware survey now got GTX 1080, GTX 1070 and RX 480 in database.

http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/directx/

I noticed they now have Vulkan data up combined Linux and all Windows systems. I checked back my old post to find how many Steam users total back in June.

https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=29726710#post29726710

So there were 175,400,622 steam users as end of June worldwide. 0.20% 350,801 GTX 1080 owners and 0.10% 175,400 GTX 1070 owners worldwide.

Very surprised that survey confirmed Nvidia shipped GTX 1080 in biggest volume worldwide. 0.20% is a lot, it will interesting how many steam users installed RX 480 when August data will come up. Hopefully some GTX 1060 numbers too.

That nvidia tax! A bit much for a x60 card, which will be bottom of the pile once all the current gen stuff is out.

Nope, a 1050 is coming for sure in future months and I suspect we shall also see a 1040 but that is me totally guessing.

GTX 970 was NVIDIA's best selling card, 1060 beats the 970 at absolutely everything, has more memory, more features and has launched at the same money as 970 did. :)

Am I asking in the right thread? Plz let me know otherwise...

Not really no. Lots of people asking in the 1080 thread however Asus aren't giving any answers. There are people who ordered on the 30th May who haven't got their cards yet.

Indeed, this reminds me of when I bought my 970. I waited till the 390 released, saw the benchmarks for the games that I would play and ordered the 970 from OCUK later that day. Wait for a new release, see how it compares and then decide.

That's true. Alas, the 1060 isn't too much better over a 970, since it is 980 level. Currently we can get 980 for 970 prices and even back last year, when I considered buying the price-drop 980 (under £400 at the time), I was advised by forumites here that the 970 was a better value option.

So for folks on a 390/970 this isn't the card for them. Perhaps it's more suited to those who haven't upgraded in a long while or those who have had lower-end cards.

If a 1050 can grant 970 performance at 960/380 prices, I will be relieved. And it could be a possibility considering how close the 950 was to the 960, not to mention competition from the 4GB RX 480 under £200. So far, this generation hasn't had much on offer for those with a £200 max budget. Besides 380X price drops and a promise of RX 470/GTX 1050.
