Lowe said:Nope, that's a laser pointer.
A laser range finder funnily enough is a device that lets you work out how far something is away. You point the device at the target, press a button and it fires a laser at the target. The resulting reflection takes a certain amount of time, and therefore using some basic maths it'll tell you how far away it is. More advanced models can tell you the speed of a moving object, such as the Police speed guns.

We sure do and they are the best invention yet for us poor guys who used to have to trail a dirty tape measure round buildings getting manky handling the things. They're especially great in big industrial sheds, accurate to a couple of cm over 100m or so. And not that expensive now either considering what they used to cost and how much time they save us.Efour2 said:Yeah basically... lol
expesive steel tapemeasure.
Surveyors use them a lot they are useful if you measure things often
