Anyone had this done? Got a horrible tattoo that I want covering up/getting rid off, you know the type, 17 and drunk lets get this scary one as it's cool then regret it the next morning. I'm 25 now and I really want to get rid of it/get it covered up.

Anyway I had a patch test done yesterday at my local tattoo place (my god it hurt) and I'm booked in for next Wednesday for session number 1. They reckon 2 sessions will do then enough will be gone to cover it with something decent. Still undecided as to what I want done yet.

It's £90 a session which I thought was a good price as well. I've looked into the kit they have and it's very good stuff as well. Normal price in hospitals is at least double that.

She said it was on the highest setting and when she does the whole lot it will be turned down. I've also bought some cream which numbs the area. I enquired about the scarring etc, and I sat down with the lass that does it asking all sorts. I was shown photos and told about previous ones done and she is under the impression that if I choose the right design then I won't notice it. I have to say some of the before, during and after photos were impressive, could hardly notice anything at all.

Just wondering if someone here has done the same or knows much about it?

My other half is in the process of getting 2 tattoos on her upper arms removed then reworked.
£80.00 per laser session. One on her right arm has had quite a lot of treatments in the last year or so - 6-8 weeks between treatments - and it's gradually starting to fade. But she's spent several hundred quid on them so far just for removal.
Depends on what colours/outline is used as some shades fade faster/better than others.
Don't be surprised if it takes way more than 2 sessions though.
And get used the the smell of burning flesh :p and oozing blisters... not to put you off or anything like that ;)
She also gets some anaesthetic cream from her GP, to put on before a session to numb the pain (depending on what level the laser is set at).
You can expect a little scarring, but if it's done right and you're having your tattoo reworked then this ought to be negligible.

Hers are taking an age, but they are quite large in the first place; she's been going for the last year or so now and is only now starting to make headway on sorting out her new designs.

I'll show her this post and ask her what she thinks later this evening. ;)

wasn't there that couple that had a chemical way of doing this on dragons dn ages ago, no scar or anything, just removed it in dots over time?

This is it. I think most can probably see why I want it gone! You can see some redness near the "nose" of the skull where they did the patch test yesterday.

Get it covered up with something better ;)

That was my first option however the tattooist said it'd be hard work and they wouldn't be 100% happy doing it. She wants to do two laser treatments on it first then she said we can see about covering it. Just not idea on what to cover it with? I have a small dragon below it which I like so it would have to be something that goes well with that.
