I love going to the cinema and the responses are somewhat depressing since I revived the thread.
There doesn't seem to be much around to interest people these days, and even I have slackened off this year.
I find it a bit sad and think our cinemas may be in trouble.
P.S. Nice location @Grimley
Dune 2 was epic in the cinema. The scale was great, unlikely to replicate that at home, never mind the IMAX.The only recent film I went to the cinema for was Deadpool vs Wolverine, which was fantastic. I had wanted to watch The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare but it wasn't released in cinemas in the UK so I skipped that. Apart from those two there has been nothing to tempt me back to the cinema in years. There's nothing coming up in the future that interests me. Are cinemas going to be in trouble or is it simply that I got old and am not the demographic that film studios are targeting?
Have you tri s watching films you wouldn't normally watch? You never know.Infinity war
Endgame
Godzilla King of monsters
Its been awhile!
Used to be at least once a month but there hasn't been anything of enough interest to justify the cost over the years that I couldn't just wait and watch at home. I've been tempted but.....
People being anoyying (seriously just shut up and watch the movie), overpriced tickets, overpriced snacks, bringing kids and teenagers knowing full well they cannot sit still, among other things.
Omniplex is the nearest (took over the local Empire Cinema) unlimited (1 ticket per movie a month) is £11.99 for standard which is basically covered with 2 movies a month in terms of costs. But it's rare there is more than 1 movie a month I'd actually want to go and see instead of just waiting and watching at home. There are a few on this month and coming up in the next week or two that I'm tempted with then just cancel though but the thought of it being packed with people makes me reconcider
Yes in the comfort of my own home hahaHave you tri s watching films you wouldn't normally watch? You never know.
