I think the cable bundle will still be ok for the Sapphire Tri-X card, it takes 6pin and 8pin still I think.

Ive not had a Gigabyte card with that cooling solution, I have had Tri-X - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18593696

I look at how hard it will be to get the shroud off the card and do a custom paint job on the blue parts. Then I'd be a happy man

If you use something like plasti-dip you can change the colour of the gpu without voiding your warranty.

If you don't like it then you can just peel it off. You could probably mod anything on your build with it if you are careful
