Last Gen Ford Ranger Owners?

I have a 2020 Wildtrak which did 60,000 on the original tyres and there was plenty tread on them when I got them changed....... absolutely no grip but plenty of tread.

My fronts won't make anything like 60K miles even if I rotate them  (which happens randomly) rear ones do pretty well.

EDIT: The Wildpeaks have done over 10K miles, you wouldn't know it, still look new and had them on for MOT and they put them down as 0% wear. Current Bridgestones at around 16K fronts are down to 4mm, rears still 6.

Do you still have the car? afaik the thunder is basically a wildtrak with a few different bits of painted plastics, wheels and stitching on the leather, anything I should be aware of as soon as I pick it up?

Yeah still have it... on 110,000 miles and to date it has been very reliable. Had a leaking front diff about a week after I got it but that was quickly fixed under warranty. It's quite economical for what it is giving over 30mpg and the 13amp socket in the cab has been used far more than I though it would be.

There is an absolute gimp near me who has a Ranger on off road tyres. The thing sounds like it has a flat tyre when it flies passed.

Did I tell you I went on a right rant about Rangers to my neighbor? I kept asking for trades to come and do small jobs, and everyone of them had like 70-80k Halfords spec fully lifted Rangers. As soon as they pulled up I said I couldn't afford them. Anyway, turns out my neighbor is like brand director for Ranger and had one get delivered about a week after . Then last week he had a blue Puma... I said you've gone from redneck to metrosexual (thinking it was a courtesy car) - turns out he had swapped the Ranger for a Puma. RIP neighborly relations :(

I know a guy with one with a lift kit, 34" wheels, snorkel, bonnet bra, deflectors, the works - only uses it for the school run, but if it makes him happy *shrugs* my pickup just gets used for a little bit of everything.

Picking it up tomorrow and god what a nightmare it has been everything from insurance and payment to dealership has just been one thing after another but finally sorted, weather looking a bit breezy again tomorrow but hopefully dry meaning the thing shouldn't get too filthy on the way home :)
