Last minute advice before purchasing 12700 or 12700F

They're the same except for the iGpu. For me, it's just like insurance - you are paying extra for something you will probably never need to use (i've not needed an igpu in 25 years of pc'ing and i'm sure most people haven't 'needed' one either), yet that time when you do need it, you'll wish you had it :) You can spend £10-30 extra everytime you buy a cpu and have that peace of mind, or decide not to. For me I prefer that i've saved the money due to not using it, but it's up to you to decide how valuable one is to you

If you are still looking and want to save a bit of money, you could try to get one from CEX 2nd hand (12700 or 12700f). I've bought 2 CPUs off them and they both have been fine. Maybe more will be available to buy closer to the 13th gen launch. In terms of performance, 13th gen is just an optimization anyway, so no IPC improvement.

Have the 12700K here and wouldn't recommend going without iGPU.
If for, any reason, you end up without a GPU, just the fact you can still using your PC is priceless.
Been using AMD for ages and until my change to Intel, every time I ended up without a GPU, the system was down.
