Last Minute Lodge/Cabin New Year Break

Hi All,

As a last minute thought, me and my partner are wanting to spend New Year in some sort of Lodge, we've tried center parcs and it all seems to be fully booked. We've had a look at the lakes as well.

There are a couple available but all seem to be about the £600 price mark (sod that).

I was wondering if anyone could suggest somewhere that they know of. (Ideally in the north, Cumbria, Yorkshire, Derbyshire etc...)

Try Forest Holidays.

Your going to be disappointed if you think its going to be cheap though.

If you go a week after new years, it will be considerably cheaper.

Those sort of places aren't exactly a cheap getaway at the best of times unless you get a big group together and stay in one of the big ones, at this time of year and short notice you're going to have your pants pulled down never mind where you go.

Forest Holidays are awesome, been a few times usually the week before Christmas as it's cheap, hot tub in the snow rocks. But yer Christmas week and New Year are the most expensive times as everyone has the same idea as you.

I've been looking for something similar for a weekend in January and just Googled for a cabin in Scotland and have had lots of results and saw many within your price range.

I found that Christmas newyear is the most expensive season for this kind of thing but the cheapest from the second week of jan, though i suppose specifically on where you want to go.

We've booked a lodge in Glencoe for 7 nights. It's super cheap. Middle of January.

These seem pretty popular too. Probably worth giving any site a direct call. I mostly manage to get it cheaper than internet listed prices be it lodges/hotels etc if i call.

You don't generally get last minute deals on the cheap at absolute peak season (Christmas, New Year, Easter, late July/August, October half term)
