Last Minute SFF AM4 build check!

What's nice about the 5700 non X is that with a bit of tweaking and an undervolt, you drop the wattage use and improve the performance which is great with an ITX build whilst not spending as much money as the 5800X.

I think I'm running a -0.1v offset but don't quote me on that.
I ran my 5700X for ages in the optional 'eco mode' at 65w capped and I never had any issues, I turned it off in the end but didn't really notice any loss of performance/fps when gaming - @PaulW this is something you can also try, along with being able to manually set the 'exact' wattage you want it to be able to goto, that paired with an undervolt makes for a wicked combo!

Ha @JollyJamma you've got me tempted to undervolt my CPU now, just didn't feel the need based on my luck with cooling/airflow/temps/heat output, but it is very tempting now just for the sake of it haha!

I absolutely love how much my 4070 undervolts to, and again by fluke also never goes above 65C like EVER and that's with RT/PT on in AW2 at 4k with 1440p DLSS set to balanced.

Gotta love a dual bios/decent set of fans on that ASUS dual, it OC's like a monster too (3.1GHz/+500mhz on memory proven by OCUK's own 8pack in his review), but I just don't see the need... Love that my entire system used 260-300w at the wall with a proper wall monitor INCLUDING the speakers/amp/31.5" 1440p 165hz monitor... I do cap SP games to 60FPS as I just don't personally see the need for more and prefer as maxxed graphics as possible eye candy wise.
But yeah still impressive power usage considering that's with a 65w 100% brightness 400nitts monitor at full ham mode. So my PC must be using like 200-240w depending on wether RT is on....

Due to this I decided to man up and plug it into the TV as it's using less than a 6700xt at full chat would for my entire main rig :D so paired with the TV at 115w for 4k 60, it makes for a very eco friendly low power consumption silent gaming setup which I can rinse for hours without worrying about heat/bills/noise.

You def got me tempted to push my luck and undervolt it though haha!

so with all your help and £100 extra.

Now is this all going to be compaitible? PCPP seem to say its ok.

I don't think you're googling properly. Add CPU to your search query.

It's AMDs stupid naming scheme that means that the 5700 can be a CPU or GPU.
Cant find it anywhere, it does not exist anymore and yes i am ok with google seaching. have a look yourself the only ones avalible are the G or X now it would seem

a media center as in a PC hooked up to the TV for a bit of video watching, gaming and web surfing and transporting home for holidays and working away from home with light work. For now it'll be used for some average 3d modeling and some artwork.

Don’t get the A520 motherboard. It’s terrible.

Get the 5700X
As I said earlier, 5700x is only 6% slower than a 5800x and I've yet to find a game that 'needs' an X3D, enjoy the 65w sipping power, cool running/silence and do as @JollyJamma said and undervolt it, cannot go wrong mate.

IF I'm wrong me and @JollyJamma can have a fight to the death and donate to charity

So yesterday I bought the SSD at a great price, today I am buying the Motherboard Gigabyte AMD B550 AORUS B550I PRO AX Wi-Fi as you all recommend at a reduced price. its a lovely board so thanks everyone for the recommendation. I probably am going to go for the 5700x. I was thinking the Thermalright AXP90 X47 cooler might not be enough to cool it but I think now after looking at it the 65 watt processor should be fine to keep cool and quiet especially with swapping out the fan for the Noctua. its gradually coming together :)

Also! is my RAM choice for this board ok?
