Late Delivery

I noticed yesterday that OcUK had a banner on their site stating that any orders placed after 5pm Tuesday would be delivered from Saturday 4th June. I had a reasonably large order to place and figured I'd get it in before the cut off so I could get it before the weekend. I placed the order before 4pm (I had meetings and this was the earliest I could place the order). I received an "order placed" at 3:55pm. I didn't receive an order shipped message until 1am this morning which now means DPD won't deliver until Monday 6th. Quite disappointed to be honest as delivery is normally spot on.

I have just spoke to the gods. It will be with you shortly.

I’m not sure what posting in GD is going to achieve, maybe submit a web note directly to them?

Never had a problem when ordering from ocuk. I think they could expand their working hours warehouse side like other competitors do though.

I had a big, huge problem with my last order with OCUK.

They never sent me any Haribo!

Imagine my disappointment at only receiving what I ordered, when I opened the package. :(

That doesn't help much if for example the couriers pick up at a set time every day and the issue is you've received too many orders to pick, pack, and get them into the cages for the couriers to load up in the van (that's an issue that requires bigger warehouses and more staff, both of which take time to set up).
Basically you could have warehouse staff working 24/7/365, but it doesn't help if say your couriers arrive at a specific time every day.

It's annoying when a store doesn't manage to get everything shipped, but it's something that isn't always surprising when placing an order near the normal cut off time.

Yes but other competitors are and do get the items send up until like 12am and receive the next day or same day if you like

You could probably apply that to a lot of threads on here!

I was just offloading my disappointment at the service. Why have a banner with a cutoff time if it makes no difference?

You’d have to ask them that, the mod team don’t work for the store unfortunately.

I had the opposite situation... I ordered on (Bank Holiday) Friday, expecting the delivery on Monday and got it on Saturday.... good job I was home lol

I was disappointed in my lack of haribo though :(
