I hope they don't have 10 billion license tests before you can play the game properly...
Decided to play GT4 tonight for a laugh, no save game = license hell.

Ruins the game somewhat.

Missed this bit

"Able to track the movement of Cockpit Camera interface (confirmed in full 3-D. The camera can be fully manipulated and you can opt to have your head tracked by the PSEye)"

^^ cool :)

Mr Latte must be peeing his pants over this news. :D

No i feel sad for Dan Greenawood is all. ;)

Seriously though lots of good features mentioned here but still this is not everything about the game, above doesnt mention the Nascar or Rallying we know of and what about rumoured weather or day/night.
Still lots to get excited about later. Also im still crossing my fingers for triple screen play like FM3 will use so well.

Next few days should be exciting seeing new videos and perhaps getting a release date.
5 years weve waited but said it before PD are the masters.

Lets see what MS show and further details they release at the show regards FM3
They knew or im sure expected this was coming.

The head tracking sounds kind of nice, just watched some vids of it in action on other games :)

So far it all sounds pretty good, 1000 cars + 60 courses (is that layouts/tracks?) is more then enough..

Youtube uploading sounds good..

A lot to look forward to.. Not sure what the exact translation is with the premium cars, I guess we'll see over the coming week(s)..

It is odd they haven't announced the night/day/weather, maybe as you say, it'll come along at TGS or in the coming week..

I don't honestly think T10 are going to be upset, they knew they couldn't compete on car/track count and the only major item on there is the head tracking I think? (That is until night/weather is possibly announced)?

All looking good for me, I've asked for a PS3 Slim + GT5 for XMas, and will save enough pennies to get the Fanatec Turbo S (Hopefully Clubsport!)..

And we've got NFS:Shift to tide us over!..

Bring on more info..

Im getting excited now!
Ohh this head tracking nice.
This is very much going to be a remarkable technical and benchmark setting game not just on PS3 but for any platform by the looks of things.

16 cars /60fps
Exactly 1.5x the polys of a standard 720p game (1280x1080)
1000 cars
60 tracks with 20 more to be revaled
Headtracking
Private Lobbys
World Rankings and point system
Voice Chat

The 170 cars are referred to as premium. It then states internal damage.
So worst case is only 170 cars possibly "racing cars" have damage which includes internal cockpit damage.
Or it means 170 cars have additional interior damage as premium cars.

Questions:
Porsche?
Lambo?
Realtime weather conditions for tracks?
Day/Night?
Pitstops?
Car Tunning (its in their but to what degree)
Multiscreen?
Car Clubs?
Home Interaction?
Car Trading or Swapping
Decal Paint Editor?

Eh... polygons are, by their nature, independent of pixel resolution.

Yes been a long day for me polys isnt the right term.

Point remains on a technical level and ive said this before to date no other console racing game has 16 cars, 60 frames, in 720p.
GT5P manages that and does it at a RESOLUTION 1.5x greater than 720p

Is that better, ive always had credit for PD in achieving this 2 years ago yet other devs still havnt, quite staggering really.

Custom soundtracks hurray! Can't wait to roll my car too. Does anyone remember the name of that track in GT3 where there was a huge bump on the last corner that could be used to almost tip the car over?

That resolution sounds pretty nasty to be honest, it's not even 16:9?

I think that might be a typo, surely they mean 1920x1080 rather than 1280x1080.

It's good to see that PD have put in a bunch of good work over the 5 or so years. :)

I only have two more wishes for this game.

1. They sort out the updating.
2. More of my mates had a PS3.

Gamersyde will be uploading GT5 gameplay from the GC floor apparantly in about 45 mins or so!!!
(Some new City track by the looks of it, according to BlimBlim (Owner of Gamersyde)..
