Laughable support reply

A mate of mine used to work in a support company that used to deal with rainforrest support

But of course it is cheaper to move the support from Belfast to Bangalore

You get what u pay for

As I have already said, every bit of Samsung documentation that came with the monitor says it has a 2 year warranty, so what good is phoning them going to do

Anyway, as stated in the op, this isnt about the warranty, It is about the rubbish reply I got.

Okay, how did you pose the original question?

We're only going on the reply, he has stated the terms but hasn't comitted himself to taking any additional action. Did you set out your expectation, laying out concisely what you wanted him to do - or did you write a wall of text regarding the issue, where you are expecting him to infer what you want him to do?

I'm not having a go, but I deal with clients (educated people often with multiple degrees in the UK, Europe and Middle East) and I find that if you don't explicitly state what you want from them, point by point, you get answers similar to what you have received.

It's not great, but it's not that bad either! The situation is perfectly clear to me and that's all that really counts isn't it?

I asked them how they intend to honour the 3 year warranty that they have advertised.

You sort of have three years warranty...1 year with Rainforest place and two with Samsung :p Just so happens one of those years overlaps the other!

Looks like another company with Indian tech support, I remember ringing Microsoft and spoke to an Indian bloke his English was so bad that I had to hang up and try again later.
