Evening people.

About 3 years ago the parents got the garden landscaped, all looks very good but the one thing that annoys them is the lawn is not flat, infact it is all over the shop. Is there an "easy" answer to this? Im trying to think of outside the box Christmas presents (obviously winter isnt a great time but thinking maybe I could get a voucher/tell them what I plan to do for them in the spring/summer) as Mum has been going on about it ever since it was done!

Any help greatly appreciated

D!

What you’ve got to watch for is if there are large colonies of ants present...

You could remove all the turf, level the soil and relay and then by summer find it’s all uneven again due to the ants moving the soil around

This is a problem we are having and have been having for years! The ants just won’t go!

I thought it would be a big job, might get the sister to chip in as well for birthdays instead. Back to the drawing board.

Thanks for the info guys :)

Mole bombs. Detonate. Fill with Napalm.

Re-do lawn afterwards.

This reminds me of the garden I have when we moved in there was 6 or 7 very large congrete slabs arranged in a circle around the centre of my garden. I didnt like them from the start and always said we would take them out at some point. I got a load of soil and sand mix and some compost from various places and started to dig them out. Damn i think i got about the of them out and I was knackered. Filling in and then laying new turf over the gaps took about 3 days in total and it was bloody hard work if I must say so. I really wish looking back on it now I should have hired one of them lawn cutters that you can use to cut the lawn away and then I should have leveled it all properly and then relaid the lawn becuase even now you cant see where the slabs were there are still small lumps in the lawn I have tried to do a few re-packing jobs but i suppose in the end I will lift it all up and relay it at some point.

plug aerate the hell out of it (go over 3 or 4 times) and then drag a piece of chain link fence over it to smash up the plugs. Do it for a few years and it should level out.

Heavy roller is probably the only approach I should think.
Nope, rolling makes it worse

Aerate it with the plug n board tool
rake over washed sharp sand to fill the plugs (not builders sand, contains salt)

fill in low spots with sand, grass will grow up through it
or if they are really low, cut out turf, add soil and re-lay
