do have to admit the main character super hero must have to keep fit all the time.
shows pretty dire though its definately not upto the wildcat standards or teletubbies, atleast tubbies was funny i thought.

hes one strong dude to do some of them gym moves

but have you seen the size of his arms :eek:
 
My daughters love it - glued to it on CBeebies, then want Noggin switching on in case it is on that channel too.

I wouldn't mind they must have seen every episode 10 times.

I personally find it a little disturbing, especially the way the grown man Sportacus is with the young girl with pink hair...
 
Great show, My 2yd old loves it, not on Cbeebies at the moment, Its still shown on NickJr.
The Guy who Plays Sportacus is the shows writer and designer as well..got quite a bit f athletic history as well!

Magnús Scheving (born November 10, 1964) is a writer, producer, entrepreneur, comedian and a famous Icelandic athlete. He is best known as the creator and co-star of the children's television show LazyTown, in which he plays the superhero Sportacus.

Scheving was born in Reykjavík. He began practicing gymnastics in 1985, and in 1992 became the Icelandic Men's Individual Champion in gymnastics. In 1993 he became the Scandinavian champion, and was the European champion twice in 1994 and 1995. He was voted Athlete of the Year by Iceland in 1994.

Scheving is the CEO, creator, and co-founder of LazyTown Entertainment. This company produces books, videos, games, and sporting goods to help promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle to children.

Scheving is also creator of the show LazyTown (Latibær in Iceland), where he plays Sportacus (Íþróttaálfurinn). LazyTown airs on Nick Jr. (US), BBC1 & CBeebies (UK), Noggin (US), YTV (Canada), Sjónvarpið (Iceland) among others
 
my 2 kids love it.

as soon as we get in the house they want to put it on and then when we go out in the car they insist on having the soundtrack on in the car.

i'm always finding myself singing the songs :(

it's a good show though.

and I can get them to eat more of their dinners now. "come on, brocolli is what sportacus eats!!" - "ok dad! chomp"
