LCD and Non-Magnetic Shielded speakers?

Picked up a pair of Gale Monitor 1's, going to stick them on an Cambridge A1 amp and replace me old PC speakers. Only really trying to figure out placement in my head, as to whether or not I can have them near the LCD that's all.

Should improve sound quality a bit... :D

Well actually, Speakers unsheilded CAN affect an LCDs performance, but they'd have to be sat pretty much right next to it and probably sharing the same power source.

Good man, that's my exact setup too :) Realised I used the PC for music far more than gaming, so went with the superior sound rather than knowing someone behind me and slightly to my left was shooting at me..

Got a 5.1 Headset for that sillyness. rarely use it, its such a spiders nest of wires. By the time I untangle it and get it on my head, I rarely want to play the game anymore.

I swear wires have a life of their own when you're not there. Even though you wind the wires up neatly, come next time you need to use it, they have always somehow manage to tie themselves in knots. :(

Mostly music comes out of my PC these days anyway, and I play EVE-Online, and if you play that, you probably know that "EVE has no sound". ;)

Edit: Just realised that I'll be able to turn the Bass down quickly when Mr "I'm at a construction site and have a deeper voice than your average German" comes on TS.

I would have thought no, until one of the fairly new Hans G 19" lcd monitors at my work was getting affected by some speakers on the adjacent desk so the speakers had to be moved.

So my answer is yes.

Mines buggers up my screen! There logitechs too, not sure if its something to do with the sub sitting under the desk or not though.

Well im blaming the problem on the speakers anyway cause the screen will go funny a few hours after the volume is turned up.

well done, i have the A1 and some mission M71s. Take a huge crap on any pc speakers.

I have mine about 3 feet above me on a shelf. Ive got used to the sound and they sound weird when in line with my ears now.

Also on a Cambridge A1 :)

Got my speakers either side of my monitor, no problems.

Need to replace the speakers though, keep changing my mind what with though! Just waiting until after xmas!

Almost as noobish as thinking your new case came without screws or instructions :p

OK sorry for the n00b comment, it just seemed obvious to me, lol as for the case screws, As the case review says, they are hard to find.

Which reminds me I need to post some pics in that thread. But before I do I need to tidy my cables.

Asus mobos have a power connector at the top, the cable will not reach if I put it behind the mobo. Unless I turn my PSU over, but then the fan is at the bottom. There is a grill on the bottom so it should be alright, I don't have carpet but my room always gets dusty.

Not sure if it is worth the risk.
Gonna try and get an extension cable.
